Intention: Trust

Etymology:  reliance on veracity, integrity or other virtues of someone/thing Old Norse: Traust “ help, confidence, protection, support.” Veracity – n – conformity to facts; accuracy What is TRUST? Have you considered deeply what trust really is ?  Is TRUST the predictability of a persons behaviour toward us that gives us a sense of security and therefore the certainty that this behaviour would be repeated in the future? Or is trust about our emotional courageousness to expose our vulnerabilities to those we love with the expectation that they will not take advantage of our expression? The answer is yes to both. As part of the human experience, this is an essential psychological and emotional requirement in order to feel healthy. Now here comes the “but”. That’s not the kind of trust that is on the table here. Sit with it for a moment. Consider how predictable anything is in life; our relationships, children, circumstances, attitudes. Practice RADICAL Self-Love. How do you do that? What does that mean? It starts off with recognizing those moments when the activity dies down, and there is silence around you and you feel as if you should be "doing" something. Your mind is spinning and you are anxious, bored or tense. Or perhaps, you have had an interaction with a loved one that has triggered some deep and powerful emotions - a re peating pattern that causes much angst. It is uncomfortable being in your skin, and you want out. Out of your head, out of your space, out of the quiet - you want to escape to do something, look to someone to fill in that void.
